Weedy bays, cabbage flats, and shoreline structure. Prefers clear, cool to warm lakes with abundant forage. Northern Michigan and the UP. DNR records show Muskellunge present in 255 Michigan water bodies. Highest stocking activity on record is in Van Buren, Barry and Schoolcraft counties. Bite activity rates Good or better in Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct and Nov.
