🛡 Tiger Muskie Conservation Status

Introduced Tiger Muskie was introduced to Michigan and is now an established part of the fishery. Sterile hybrid stocked by MDNR in select Michigan lakes as a trophy predator management tool. Cannot reproduce -- all individuals are hatchery fish. The DNR's fish list notes the hybrid "was formerly stocked" indicating periods of reduced programs, but MDNR has continued stocking in targeted lakes. Michigan requires a minimum length of 42" to keep. The daily bag limit is 1.
